I really like how "The Buttershark Effect" is going and "Tales of Christmas" is nice, even if mellow. "Pick Your Heart Up Off the Floor" looks fantastic.

There aren't really a lot in comparison to other ships tho, so I'm still seeking perfect characterization and writing. Dreams be dreams.

True, but there is a lot more fics for this pairing than say others such as SeiMako.

But because there isn't a lot of them, makes each one that appears as precious as the rest of them.

I've shipped "big" pairings before, and it's so easy to take the vast amount of fanfics/fanart for granted. That's one thing I love about shipping rare/minor pairs; you value each and every piece of fanwork that comes out, no matter the quality, and it takes a lot longer for things to get dull.

True, true. I'm just spoiled shipping a big ship in some ways.
