The Pixiv stats made me think, but what about us? I'm also asking because most people seem to go with RinRei as a ship name, but I'm not quite sure if it truly reflects the individual's preference.
RinRei or ReiRin? Or somewhere in between? ..Switchy-switchy? Or do you just not care at all?
I'm fine with either, but my preference leans more towards Rin as a bottom.
My reasons for using 'RinRei' instead of 'ReiRin' are slightly embarrassing though.
I admit I use it more, because it rolls off my tongue more easily than 'ReiRin'. It sounds more... beautiful. *gets smacked* Or rather, 'ReiRin' doesn't exactly have the same oomph going on.
...and I don't know about you guys, but I like using ship names as a battle cry!
I like RinRei, not because of any topping preference (and I didn't even know that was the way ship names were made until very recently), but because I like the way it sounds better than ReiRin. It has a better flow to me and it reminds me of the name Winry from fma.
I don't know. I remember back in the day, ship names were words and not name smashes. (Or at least that was how Yu-Gi-Oh, and I think Pokemon did it) While sometimes the ship names were lame and built off a mis-characterization of something, it was an easy way to have one, cohesive, name for shippers to find and discuss.
the way you like it

Your thoughts plz.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-07 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)I also headcanon that whoever is on bottom is sort of a power bottom. But this mostly stems from my hate of the stereotypical seme/uke dynamics.

No really.
(Most of the time I do it in my head though)
Try to yell out the following:
RINREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
That feels exhilarating right?
Now try this:
REIRIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
NNNNNNNNNNNN
nnnnnnnnnnnnnn
*struggles* *coughs* *choking noises*Conclusion: the two syllables in RinRei did it for me. Sorry, ReiRin.
